Kellie & Hunter’s Engagement Session – Lethbridge Wedding Photographer

I’m so excited to be able to share Kellie & Hunter’s gorgeous fall engagement session! About a few weeks after arriving in Alberta, Kellie reached out to me to inquire about wedding photography. I was shocked that I had received in inquiry so early since moving from Ontario to Alberta. After chatting on FaceTime I was so excited to be able to welcome them as 2023 wedding clients!

Thanksgiving weekend I was able to meet with Kellie and Hunter in person at Lundbreck Falls in Lundbreck, Alberta. They are both kind and fun people who have an awesome story and really love to laugh! Kellie chose this location as they had visited before and who wouldn’t want an engagement session by a waterfalls?! This fall evening turned out to be 22 degree weather as well! I was told that fall in Alberta can be unpredictable but this day turned out to be even more gorgeous than we could have hoped for!

Engagement Session Tips

Engagement sessions are what I call a trial run for the wedding day. They help me get to know my couples and they in turn help my couples get to know me. But more importantly, it helps my couples get to be comfortable in front of the camera. Most of my couples come to me saying they have never had photos done together before or that they always feel awkward in front of the camera. My job as a wedding photographer is to put those nerves at ease! Over the years I’ve found tricks and ways to make my couples feel comfortable; we have fun and laugh!

These images are not only gorgeous because of the location, they are made beautiful by the two people in the frame. Kellie and Hunter have a beautiful connection and the care and love that they share for one another was evident all throughout our session! I tell my clients to treat their engagement session like a date night; to just have fun, and they really did!

From a trip to Georgia in February to visiting family in October, to having family down, trips to mountains, driving all over Alberta for sessions, it has been an incredible year!🎉

And 2026 is shaping up to be pretty awesome too! My goal this coming year is to really establish a good client care experience. I am so thankful for you all and I want to continue to build an experience that is joyful and memorable!

Oh hey 👋 this post was promised a long while back 🫣 life has been moving a mile a minute. While I’m coming up on almost 12 years of photography, I’ve been drawn down memory lane. This little hobby of what started to be capturing my kids growing up has blossomed into something so joyful and fulfilling. These last years have been filled with blessings but also with unknowns and shed tears.

Photography has given me friendships, travel opportunities, so many beautiful landscapes, and endless memories. My camera has taken me to Iceland, Nova Scotia, Georgia, Ontario and Alberta (always up for more places!!) and who knows where to next! 🌎

But most importantly, it has brought me into so many of YOUR lives! I count it such an immense blessing to be invited into so many of your most joyful, important, and sometimes tearful moments in your lives.

I know how powerful memories are…and how impactful photo memories can be. I remind myself of that at the beginning of each and every photoshoot. I have a gift worth giving and you have a story worth telling.💗

So here’s to 12 years and however many more to come! ✨
