I thought I’d do a quick post to do a bit of a re-introduction! In early August we moved from Alliston, Ontario, to Lethbridge, Alberta. Having lived in Ontario almost all of my life, this move across the country was a BIG move! We knew that a change would be coming and God moved in so many affirming ways! Now we’ve been here in Lethbridge for about 6 weeks!
I’ve moved a number of times in the last few years and with each move it means starting my photography business over. This by far though, has been my biggest move, which means work has to be done in restarting my business.
For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Kristin and I’ve been a photographer now for over 12 years. I’ve been in business for over 9 and photography has provided me with so much joy and meaning. I’m so thankful this business has found me! I bought my first camera over 13 years ago as I wanted to document my new baby daughter. But I think my love of art began even further back…from when I was a small girl! As I learned my new camera, I began to fall in love with capturing all her firsts and seeing how I could freeze time.
Fast forward 13 years, photography has given me things that I never thought could have been possible. This business has brought me to Iceland, to the east coast and to the west. It has given me lasting friendships with fellow photography business women and it has let me witness some of people’s most important moments. I’ve been able to hear hundreds of wedding speeches, seen so many new baby fingers and toes, and has allowed me to hear exciting and new things in other people’s businesses.
I’m very excited to be joining the community of Lethbridge and the province of Alberta. There’s so much gorgeous scenery and landscape here to discover. I’m excited to see where this next stage of photography will bring me!
