Stevenson Memorial Foundation Red Carpet Gala Event – Alliston Event Photographer

Back in the Spring, I had the great privilege of donating my time to the Red Carpet Gala Event for the Stevenson Memorial Hospital. Hospitals do so much and have done so much for our family. I am grateful to have a local hospital right in our town of Alliston. We have the ease of seeing a doctor and receiving medical care quite quickly– something that I’m sure a lot of us take for granted. This year I wanted to give back– so I volunteered my time photographing this awesome event and also donated a session to their silent auction.

The theme this year was An Evening at the Palace and it was spectacular. The set was designed by Seasons Floral Studio and they did an amazing job! The host for the evening was Kevin Frankish from Breakfast Television. In one night the Hospital raised approximately $455,000!!! What a great community which supports our hospital! Jumping in on the #2016 trend and it was so bittersweet to go through these photos and be reminded about the stage of life I was in 10 years ago. I really feel it was a building year. This was the year that I started to build relationships with my besties @lovebeestudios & @coppermoonrising 💗

Some major highlights were traveling to NYC with my mom and going to Georgia for the Pursuit Conference and meeting @katelynjames I was able to see Adele in concert which was the best experience ever!

I shot and shot and shot, mostly practicing my photography skills on my kids. I learned how to see light, how to see moments and how to let them unfold naturally.

We built relationships, grew friendships and explored the land. There were challenges as there are with each year but I’m so thankful that I see this year as a blessing!💗

So here’s to 10 years ago🥂and here’s to the next 10 to come!🤗

I’ve been meaning to share this beautiful extended family session! The Van Raay’s were all together over Christmas and wanted to capture some images of their family as it’s grown in the past year! Sweet little C was the star during this session!

Amanda & Delore’s wedding wasn’t just a joining of the two of them, it was a joining of two families! They are now a beautiful family of six!💗

During their ceremony they chose to signify this by doing a blanket ceremony. What a beautiful visual to depict the joining together of their new family!
