Sisters ~ Best Friends Forever – Alliston Family Photographer

Earlier this summer I had the privilege of photographing two sisters, Mariah & Michaella.  Michaella graduated Grade 12 in June and has now headed off to a new chapter in her life, college.  Their mom, Karen, wanted to preserve some of these memories of the girls together yet as their stages in life are again changing.

Being the parent of only small children, I can’t imagine what it will be like in those years to let my babies go!  As of right now my kids are still so small and so dependent and oftentimes I don’t think it will ever change.  As everyone tells me, the years go by quickly so enjoy them while they are young!  These words are so true!  I know that these girls have awesome parents and they have done an excellent job of preparing these two beautiful young ladies so that they can make their own path and impact the world today in so many positive ways!

We headed to Gibson Hills in Alliston for our session together.  We armed ourselves with flower crowns, outfit changes and apparently no bug spray!  The bugs were terrible but we still managed to get some beautiful shots.  The sunsets have been so incredible this summer so we headed up to one of my most favourite secret locations and got some sunset shots as well.

Here are a collection of a few of my favourites from our session together.  I’m so happy that this family will be able to enjoy these memories for years to come by seeing their pictures printed on their walls.  And I just have to say that Karen has the best and most impressive picture wall in her house!  She has pictures of each of the girls for every year since they were babies printed and displayed– so amazing to see the changes in each of them!  To hear more about what Karen had to say about her girls session with me click here!

✨👀 Watch Me Edit 👀✨

As I was shooting this gorgeous maternity session last fall, a couple of walkers passed us by in the background and yelled, “I hope we don’t photobomb you!” I knew that they would and rather than pausing, I kept on shooting.

@lightroom is simply the bomb and I literally use it for about 99% of my editing. Their AI generative feature is killer! I have used it SO MUCH since it’s been released. It helps me get rid of fly away hairs, mosquito bites, photobombers and so much more. This is one feature I’ve been again and again thankful for!

Here’s a quick fun video of me editing out those nature walkers! It’s just a basic AI fix bit still shows the power of the tool!
