This weekend was glorious! We had a great time of rest and spent it at a different pace. This morning we had a chance to explore God’s creation- to slow down from our usual busy Sunday’s and spend it in communion with nature and with some pretty fabulous company!
I broke out my macro which I haven’t done in a long time. Even though the forest is so dark and empty– there is still so much beauty remaining in it.

Selecting only 20 frames from this beautiful engagement session at @steelandvines was so hard! Jess and Brad simply rocked their session!
When planning and visioning for their session Jess said that they wanted their photos to look like they were out on a date. I think we accomplished their vision!🤩
@steelandvines was the perfect setting for an engagement session and for a date night! Once we wrapped up there we headed down to catch the last glimmers of the setting sun with the beautiful snow!

I don’t think I’ve ever had to use the direction words, “Okay, now everyone hold their breath!” before in a session until this one! 😂
The Enns family braved the -15 degree weather for some updated family photos and I’m so glad they did! The light, the snow, their smiles, and willing participation made this session a lot of fun— just with a bit of cold wrapped into it!
Life has been moving quickly and soon their oldest will be finishing up schooling and making his life away from the home nest! Being able to have photos to look back on is so important and I’m so glad they made this happen!💗

Three generations of lovely ladies!💗💗💗💗 It’s been quiet here but regular session posting is happening again!
Yesterday I was able to capture some beautiful images for my friend Patty with her daughter and her two precious granddaughters. 🤩
We escaped the frigid air and exchanged it for tropical vibes at @urbane.eight 🌺 and it was the perfect location!
The littlest gave all the seriousness faces but we succeeded in the end with lots of smiles! They have many more beautiful images to come!♥️

One year ago, my daughter Leah and I toured a portion of the beautiful state of Georgia! From sunrises to sunsets, sea turtles and sea creatures, lush green trees to dead driftwood trees, landscapes to city scapes all of was filled with so much beauty!
I’m continually in awe of all the unique and beautiful places that we’ve been able to visit! Leah keeps asking me when we can go back to Georgia and explore some more! Until that time, I’ll keep looking back at these picture memories!
We have one trip planned this summer to Utah so if anyone has suggestions of beautiful stops in that area, let me know!!

I’ve been busy working away on updating my new Bridal Guide and included in it is a section on elopements or destination weddings.
I’m kinda like that mouse in the book “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie” in that I just follow where that would take me. In this case, it took me back to Iceland when I got to spend Thanksgiving weekend with @lovebeestudios shooting a wedding! I love revisiting older images and re-editing them to give them a featured space here again!
And now I have beautiful fresh images to include in my guide! Next I think I’ll share some images from my Nova Scotia wedding! 💗
And you guys, if this isn’t a big hint drop, I LOVE to travel, so bring me along if you decide to elope or go somewhere super cool for your wedding!🤗

Can you even tell that this is January?! 🤷♀️ Ashley & Abe’s January engagement session felt more like an early spring day! Although the sun hid behind clouds, the surroundings were void of snow and the super cold! It was such a beautiful session!🤩
It did get a wee bit chilly towards the end but these two simply rocked their session and definitely smiled through it all! 💗 And now they have all these beautiful (and many more!) images coming their way!
Ashley and Abe are getting married in May and I’m so excited to be able to capture their day! I know the next few months will fly by!🤗

Jumping in on the #2016 trend and it was so bittersweet to go through these photos and be reminded about the stage of life I was in 10 years ago. I really feel it was a building year. This was the year that I started to build relationships with my besties @lovebeestudios & @coppermoonrising 💗
Some major highlights were traveling to NYC with my mom and going to Georgia for the Pursuit Conference and meeting @katelynjames I was able to see Adele in concert which was the best experience ever!
I shot and shot and shot, mostly practicing my photography skills on my kids. I learned how to see light, how to see moments and how to let them unfold naturally.
We built relationships, grew friendships and explored the land. There were challenges as there are with each year but I’m so thankful that I see this year as a blessing!💗
So here’s to 10 years ago🥂and here’s to the next 10 to come!🤗
I’m late to this trend party but I still wanted to be a part of it!😂 So many of my sessions and weddings have taken me all over the place- all over the land, not quite the sea, but bodies of water count!🤗
It was fun looking through where I’ve all been this past year! I’m so looking forward to all the places and spaces, land and seas I get to explore this coming year!🥳
