A couple of weeks back I was able to photograph my friend Sarah and her kiddos. She has an awesome picture wall going in her basement and needed some pictures of her kids to fill them! I was happy to help. We had a great time capturing some of the kids and a few with her and her kids as well. Here are a few of my favourites!

✨Part Two✨ My heart always has a soft spot for beach sessions! It’s the one thing I miss most about Ontario- the choice of so many beautiful beaches!
The latter half of our shoot from @breanneweston retreat took us to the beautiful beach of Bear Lake. She crafted this session to be a 90s throwback beach session and I love how so many activities were incorporated into it!
But in the end, it was just a family, making memories, playing together and having lots of fun!💗 Here are a few of my favourites…oh and after about a 5 minute down pour, we were treated to the most beautiful sunset!😍

This crew brought the energy and the tunes to their extended family session! And the best part about this session, Oupa & Ouma didn’t know it was happening until I showed up! The was the first time they’ve ever done family photos together and it was such a fun session!
They were such a great group— posing and putting up with all my requests! At the end we even incorporated their favourite sport- cricket!
As life gets busy, it’s harder and harder to get together but when the opportunity arises, it’s so good to document life right now with photos!🤩

On our way home this past weekend we stopped for the night in Kelowna and I was able to squeeze a beautiful summer evening session in for the Maljaars family! 💗
We were treated to Lethbridge like wind but managed to find some good spots and lulls in the gusts to capture some beautiful photos!
As kids grow and leave the nest, times together get harder to coordinate! When scheduling their session, they let me know they’d be all together for vacation time in Kelowna and it just worked out perfectly!

✨ Part One ✨ I’ve finally had time to catch my breath from the past 9 days to post here! Earlier this year I signed up for my first in person workshop in years! The last few months have been so busy with client work that I knew I’d need a creative refresher. When @breanneweston shared about her Way Back Home Photography retreat, I knew this was the one for me!
We had a packed couple of days, which I’m still processing, but it was so so good! The first evening we met up with this awesome young family to create some meaningful lived in, as life is right now photos. We started out with a classic summer beach dinner and then finished at the beach (those images coming next!)
I love this type of session for so many reasons- one being, it’s not scripted. Yes, the activities were curated but everything just unfolded naturally! This is what I LOVE capturing and it brought me back to my roots of when it was just me documenting my kids growing up years!
I’d love to bring this back to you all! Sessions don’t only have to be about creating a new card photo, it can be whatever you want it to be! We can be creative- what’s your favourite thing to do as family? Let’s build that out into a photo session! And not only do the images rock, they reflect the fun and joy you all have by just being present!

I just realized I never shared this grad session!! And it totally deserves a feature here! Mikah finished out his Grade 12 year on a high note and is preparing to head out to school in the US in a few weeks time!
I had a great time spending a beautiful June evening with the Dekens family capturing some beautiful new family photos while also capturing an important milestone of graduation!

Some of my favourite moments in a wedding day are the moments that are unplanned, happen as it happens moments. While Genessa & Charlie’s wedding reception was in full swing, with the buzz of conversation and congratulations, this guy found the perfect opportunity to pick up his latest read, and I love it! He was so focused and enthralled that he was able to tune everything out! It was the sweetest!😍
Also, I was chatting the other day with another photographer @breanneweston about just sharing one photo as a post. I’m here for it! Sometimes one photo is enough to tell an entire story!💗

I don’t think I’ll ever tire of visits to the mountains! This past weekend I was able to spend time with the ever lovely and sweet couple, Rebecca and Thomas. 💗 It was such a joy to get to know them and to have them in front of my camera!
Waterton was certainly showing off with its abundance of wild flowers and greenery everywhere! It also had its notorious wind but we certainly made it work for us!🤩
Here’s some beautiful images from their session- which they rocked! They’ll be saying their I Do’s in just under a year’s time and I’m so excited to be able to capture their wedding day!😍

Congratulations to the newly married couple, Kaycee & Kris!🎉♥️🤩 At the beautiful @countrysidebarnvenue these two committed their lives to one another in the presence of all their closest loved ones.
It was such a wonderful day and these two are simply the sweetest couple. After their first look, Kris would not stop looking at his beautiful bride!😍
