This summer I was met with the Niemand family for my very first Family Story Session. I enjoyed spending some time with them on a beautiful and hot summer evening. In our pre-session phone chat I found out that they were soon to be moving out of country. They wanted to create some tangible memories of their old home and the places that they loved to visit.
I first met at their house and was able to spend a bit of time in their neighbourhood. During our session, it became so apparent to me that they would be greatly missed. While taking photos, they were greeted by a few hello’s and other kind words from passing friends and neighbours. I asked what their vision was for their session but also what their desire for their children was and the words wild and free were given.
Brittany and Chris’ family session was definitely wild and free and I love that the personalities of the children came through. We wandered and explored and the kids played on their favourite playground! It was such a fun filled session! I’m grateful that they now have these memories to tell their story to their boys.
