At the end of December, I was able to meet up with Robert & Beckie in Barrie for their winter engagement session. This was my first time meeting up with them as they live out in Alberta and were back in the area visiting their family and friends for the Christmas season. Beckie and Rob are such a beautiful, fun couple and are big on adventure. They were such troopers with me— hiking through the deep snow and braving the cold weather. I’m so excited to get to know them some more over the next few months. They’ll be coming back to Ontario mid June for their summer wedding in Alliston at The Gibson Centre.
We started our session at Bohemia in Barrie to get to know one another and to take a few photos of their time together there. I found this eclectic coffee shop through a recommendation by a friend and it did not disappoint! From the friendly faces that welcomed us, to the delicious Christmas cake that I bought for my hubby, it was filled with love! The best spot in the house is a little balcony that has a half dome window that over looks the Barrie waterfront. We took advantage of that little spot and captured some fun photos there.
After warming up with coffee and tea, we headed out to the Barrie waterfront. While these photos look warm and full of love (and they were!) it was actually quite cold! These two are troopers and assured me that they were up for the adventure and I’m so glad that they were because these images reflect the fun and adventure we had together.
Beckie and Rob, thank you again for choosing me as your wedding photographer. The love that you share is something so special and it was evident during our time together. I am looking forward to getting to know you both more and I am excited for the adventure of marriage that the both of you are embarking on!
I think this may be my biggest share of engagement session pictures ever! There were so many fun ones and I had such a hard time choosing!
