Earlier this fall, I had the great pleasure of meeting and spending some time with the Vardanyan family. What drew me to this family is their strong ties to one another. I love how Ani described how they do everything together. I have a close family and we also do everything together, so I know how important these moments are and how quickly things change.
For their photoshoot we spent an afternoon walking around High Park in Toronto. It was a gorgeous warm fall October evening and the colours and light there was spectacular. This was my second time to the park and it is becoming one of my favourite places to visit!
The highlight of the photo shoot for me was capturing photos of Ani’s father and mother. The connection and love for one another was felt in those moments and I hope to have captured just a small picture of it. These are the moments that drive me as a photographer.
I’m so excited to be getting Ani her images in printed form so they can have them displayed in their homes for years to come. Pictures don’t just capture moments, they tell stories and I hope that their story of love and togetherness will be told for generations to come.
