What a beautiful day for Jess & Rob to say “I Do”. It was a bit of a hot one on this day but thank goodness for a best man who made sure the church was nice and cool for the ceremony! In fact, this day was so well organized, calm and so full of joy and happiness. When I walked in to photograph the girls getting ready, everyone was so calm and quiet and under control- I’ve never walked into a getting ready session like that, it was awesome!
After capturing some getting ready details we headed to First Hamilton Christian Reformed Church. At the church the girls got into their dresses and finished up their final details of getting ready. It was a beautiful ceremony. The wedding message was delivered by Dr. Richard Mouw who is Jess’ advisor and also has become a very close friend to her over the last few years.
We had a blast with the wedding party at Bayfront Park in Hamilton capturing some candids and formals of their interactions together. What a great group of people surrounding Jess and Rob in their lives. After capturing the rest of the bridal party portraits and a few of just the bride and groom, we headed to Sarcoa Restaurant in Hamilton for the reception. The evening was highlighted by some amazing speeches sprinkled with a long awaited best man speech, lots of laughter and singing of the doxology. We capped off the evening with a beautiful sparkler send off as Jess and Rob walked into the night as husband and wife.
Congratulations again Mr. and Mrs. Joustra! I wish you God’s blessings as you begin this new journey. I’m excited to see where God leads you both in your lives together!
