I haven’t done many engagement shoots, this was in fact my very first one! I had the great privilege of photographing my younger brother and his fiance. These two kids (and I can call them that because they are so young!!) are so beautifully suited to one another. Their personalities complement each other so well. They both are always fashionably late, they both have infectious smiles and laugther, they both have a energy you want to catch, they both have a desire for adventure. And we can’t be more excited that they have found each other.
This shoot was a bit of a dream come true. My brother loves VW vans and its his dream to one day own one. We live in a town where we pass a classy baby blue VW van almost daily. I thought earlier in the week, wouldn’t it be cool to do the shoot with that! They would love it! But as we went past this week the blue v-dub wasn’t in the driveway. The night of the shoot– there it was and my husband the adventurous one, offered to ask. Sure enough our neighbour way down the street was super awesome and friendly and agreed to let us use his VW in the engagement shoot. We were so excited! I had no trouble getting smiles and laughter from these two for the rest of the evening! I am so excited to have captured these images for Greg and Karen. There are a lot but I had such a hard time culling!
