30 Days of Black & White

Black and white photography truly speaks to my soul. I love the timeless feel it gives to images and I love seeing a deep and rich story told through a black and white. If I had an option I would shoot black and white 90% of the time. But every now and then I do love a splash of colour!

I’m currently part of a ClickinMoms Flickr group in which a collection of many other very talented photographers are sharing their black and white photos. We’ve committed to sharing one black and white photo each day for the next 30 days. I love having these challenges to stimulate my creativeness. I love seeing other photographers work and gathering inspiration from them.

I love being able to photograph young families like this beautiful family of five!💗 It always reminds me at how full life is with littles…it’s always moving, always filled with curiosity and it’s always filled with love.

When my husband and I were raising our three kiddos we’d often get comments on how fast kids grow and that we should cherish this time. In the moment, it was always about survival. But now looking back, it truly does go by so fast!♥️

This family session kicked off this upcoming season and I’m so excited! During this session we explored the grounds, picked dandelions, found cool bark, blew bubbles and did a lot of movement! And it was a blast!💥 💗

Olivia and Nate brought the energy, laughter and so much love to their engagement session! They were natural pros and fully embraced their session!🤩💗

When planning for their session, they had a vision to have some of their session in front of a white church! St Henry’s Church was the perfect backdrop for those photos! And with mountain views in the background, it was perfection!

These two will be saying their vows to one another and tying the knot in August at @springbreakflowerfarm_ and I can’t wait to celebrate with them and their loved ones!

Here’s twenty frames from our session together! They have SO many more beautiful images coming their way! 🤗

After the church, we headed out to Waterton for some more beautiful spring engagement pics and it was such a lovely evening! ♥️

From loved ones— parents, siblings, grandparents, friends, to littles ones and even new faces, weddings are filled with the people that mean the most.💗

These people have surrounded this couple in prayers, love, laughter, and friendship. I love being able to witness and capture all that joy!

Natalie & Kevin are coming up to one week married and I’m sure glad they had their wedding last week with all that sunshine and warmth- much better than this weekends forecast of snow & cold!😬

A wedding day is filled with more than just the two people getting married. A large part of the day is filled with the people surrounding the wedding couple.

Congratulations to the newest Mr & Mrs Indenbosch 🌟🥂🎉

Natalie and Kevin said their vows and committed their lives to one another in the presence of God and all their loved ones. And it was such a beautiful day with the best spring time weather!😍

Here’s only 20 sneak peaks of their formal portrait time— there’s so many more to come!

If opportunity arises, when I’m photographing a couple on a wedding day, to place them alongside or in-front of big old trees, I always will. There’s just something about the sturdiness, growth and design of trees that draws me to align it with a brand new married couple. I guess my prayer is, like these big, weathered trees, so can my couples grow, flourish and weather the storms of life.💗
