A Bridgerton Inspired Styled Shoot at the Norland Historic Estate in Southern Alberta

Throughout the years I’ve participated in a handful of styled shoots. This Bridgerton Inspired Styled Shoot at The Norland Historic Estate tops the charts! When first advertised, I jumped at the opportunity to be a part of such a great curation of artists and a hidden gem of a location.

About two and a half years ago, I moved my photography business from Ontario to Southern Alberta. Honestly, I didn’t know if my business would survive the move! But having been connected in the Lethbridge community now for some time, I am so thankful that our family decided to relocate here. In Ontario there are so many incredible venues and I had the chance at shooting at a number of them. Moving here, I knew that it would take a while to get connected to all the incredible venues here.

When the opportunity arose to take part in this Bridgerton Styled shoot at The Norland Historic Estate, I was first to sign up! This hidden gem is located in the city of Lethbridge, Alberta. When visiting this beautiful venue, its like being in the south. This estate was first built in 1909 and every tree now surrounding it was a planted tree. In 1909 it stood out in an empty prairie land.

The styled shoot came together so beautifully and many different artists came together to create what you see below! I’ll tag all of the vendors in bottom of this blog post. The wedding cake crafted by Victoria’s Cakes literally had me dropping my jaw. Her artistry is incredible and the cake looked to good to eat!

It was a wonderful evening spent together with other vendors and of course an amazing couple who did such an amazing job!

✨👀 Watch Me Edit 👀✨

As I was shooting this gorgeous maternity session last fall, a couple of walkers passed us by in the background and yelled, “I hope we don’t photobomb you!” I knew that they would and rather than pausing, I kept on shooting.

@lightroom is simply the bomb and I literally use it for about 99% of my editing. Their AI generative feature is killer! I have used it SO MUCH since it’s been released. It helps me get rid of fly away hairs, mosquito bites, photobombers and so much more. This is one feature I’ve been again and again thankful for!

Here’s a quick fun video of me editing out those nature walkers! It’s just a basic AI fix bit still shows the power of the tool!
