The G family was the first family session that I’ve been able photograph since moving to Lethbridge, Alberta earlier this year! We had a wonderful time exploring their beautiful property and finding all the best spots for photos. It was so much fun spending time with this family of four and capturing their fun moments together. These two kiddos were the cutest and have such a sweet bond with their parents and it was evident in the photos we were able to capture!
During family sessions, I never expect kids to stay in one place for a long while. Kids are naturally curious and when we are outside, in new situations, they want to explore! I always encourage a lot of movement in our sessions, incorporate some fun games, and also allow downtime so kids (and parents!) can breathe a bit! I know how stressful it can be leading up to a photo session and my desire is always to help reduce that stress to create a beautiful session!
After capturing some beautiful shots on the top of the hill, we headed down to the river to explore there. We of course had to spend some time throwing rocks into the river and even some super big rocks! As our session closed out we made our way back up to say goodnight to the cows and capture some final cozy images.
