Winter wonderland is a perfect way to describe Amy & Dan’s wedding day. Their wedding was my second wedding of 2019 and even though it was later in the month of January, this was the first day we got snow, all winter. It just so happened that winter wanted to catch up on all the snow we missed and dump it all on that one day! But despite the crazy cold and the blustery snow, the day was simply beautiful!
Amy and Dan didn’t let any snow storm steal their day, they embraced their day from the vows that they shared with one another to spending quality time with their closest loved ones, it was all filled with love and laughter. I started with the bride and groom at a friends house on the Niagara River and documented a cozy first look moment! The warmth in these photos is all them because it was cold and just a bit windy.
Their family photos were taken at Harbour House Hotel, a super cute hotel in downtown Niagara-on-the-Lake. It also happened to be the Ice Wine Festival in NOTL that weekend so we were dodging tourists! Their ceremony and reception was held at The Old Courthouse and I fell in love with this beautiful venue, from the many, many windows to the grandness of the rooms- it is a gorgeous space with a cozy feeling. We also took the opportunity to explore the area of downtown Niagara-on-the-Lake and hopped in and out of the car and store fronts to warm up between sets. We even ventured out to Queen’s Royal Park right by the river and lasted just enough to get the fun shots below!
Congratulations again to you both, Amy and Dan! It has been a privilege to get to know you both and also to be able to document your wedding day. May you continue to be blessed as you continue to journey on this new adventure of marriage.
