The wintertime is usually a slow season for photographers as most families love photos in the beautiful outdoors. And for good reason too– I enjoy being outside but definitely not during the winter; especially this one! But the beauty about a lifestyle newborn photography session– is that they are usually indoors. When babies are so fresh and so new, its good to slow down the pace of life and spend time getting them to know their environments.
This winter I spent some time with a friend and her family and their new little baby boy. This newborn photography portfolio building session was a boost in my slow season. Sometimes I find that when I’m lacking creatively or things are slow– to just ask a friend and get out there and shoot!
This sweet little boy was so alert and so communicative for being so little. Shortly after I arrived the midwife arrived as well– I was secretly very excited to be able to capture some of those real life moments as well!
