Wedding Welcome Guide

Sydney & Hazen are married (again!) 🎉🎉🎉 On June 14, six months to the day that they originally said their vows, they once again exchanged vows and rings, this time in front of all their loved ones!

They chose to have their wedding at the farm that Syd grew up on and it was so special because a few of the photo spots, she’d say, “oh we had a treehouse in this tree!” or “we used to run through here”. Having a place, a home like this is so special!💗

It was such a beautiful day, we even dodged the rain, but just were treated to moody clouds instead!🤩

It’s wedding day (again!) for Sydney & Hazen! They legally married last fall but today is their big celebration wedding day…exactly like a regular wedding day! All their family and loved ones will be surrounding them with love and support!

Why book an extended family session? I can name so many reasons! This family chose to recognize an important accomplishment of one of their family members and to celebrate with him!

It was a joy to spend time with this lovely extended family this past weekend to capture some updated family photos. Time with family is so precious and lives move at an incredible pace!

Being intentional and carving out time to make something like this happen may feel overwhelming but having these moments documented is something that you can never get back!✨

“I will never have these moments back, she will never be this little again.” These words spoken by this beautiful, strong and sweet mama deeply reminded me why photos are so important.

Photographs have the power to remind of us of what life was like at that moment in time. They are empowering. They elicit memories of joy, overcoming, and togetherness.

I had the privilege of capturing some images for D and sweet baby A this past weekend 💗 we worked hard for those blissful sleepy shots! Baby A has a lot of passion and determination! But we persevered through a long bout of hiccups and it paid off!

They laughed lots, held hands, and basked in the new day sun. Jean and Ryan brought the sweetest joy to their engagement session this past weekend!💗

Can I let you in on something? I have never shot a sunrise session until Jean & Ryan’s e-session! And honestly, it was awesome!✨

We had the place to ourselves for a solid hour, the birds were giving us a concert, and the air was still fresh! We also beat the 33 degree heat that came later on that day!🤗

Ryan and Jean simply rocked their session! They brought lots of joy and laughter. Ryan also brought along his custom Lego made ring box which was so amazing!

They are getting married later this month so the countdown is on!🎉

Sometimes the light hits just right, and so does the moment! Grad season is in full swing and I’m so excited to share all the amazing grads that I have the joy of photographing this year!

Addy graduated this past weekend, and as the youngest of her family, this moment was extra sweet! She also received the prestigious Excellence award! ✨

Oh the mountains never ever disappoint!🤩 Here’s a sneak peek of Oriana & Connor’s mountain engagement session!

Seeing that this was their first time to #watertonlakesnationalpark I made sure to take them to a number of my favourite spots! And it sure was on beautiful display last night and we had very little wind!🤗

I had such a great time with this lovely couple and I’m looking forward to photographing their wedding at @thenorlandhistoricestate in September!

A large part of the wedding includes all the people who have played an instrumental part in the couple’s lives. Sharon sure has an amazing group of wonderful women surrounding her.💗

From sisters who have been there through it all, to friends who have come alongside her throughout the years, having those who love, support and adventure with you is so important!

These ladies were a joy to spend time with and I’m personally in love with the mismatched bridesmaids dresses!🤩💗

We were dodging rain a bit throughout the formal portrait part of the day so we made good use of the covered porches which was the perfect spot!
