Rob & Jess’ Laughter & Love Filled E-Session ~ Hamilton Engagement Photography

This session was full of laughter and smiles.  Rob and Jess had such a hard time keeping a straight face!  And since they were having lots of fun, I had lots of fun capturing them together. Jess and I met back in the days when we were at seminary.  We did Facing Your Future together and she took over running the program after we left to come back to Canada.  It was so nice to hear from her again this past winter as they were looking for a wedding photographer!

Jess and Rob have been doing the long distance relationship thing for awhile now, so we were able to squeeze this session in while Jess was visiting from California.  I loved listening to the story of how they met– it was through a series of being at the same events at the same time and then just connecting over long conversations.  I can’t remember all of the details (because my memory is terrible!), but it was a really awesome anecdote of how they came to be together.  Now its only a few short months until their wedding!

We headed to Dundurn Castle in Hamilton, Ontario for their e-session.  And although these pictures look warm, it was very cold that day!  We had a blast- it was filled with lots of laughter and they totally rocked their session.  Congrats again Rob & Jess and I am looking forward to capturing your wedding day in July- it should be a lot warmer then!  Here are few of my favourites from our time together.

Hey!!👋 I’ve been procrastinating on this post! Why?! It’s my 2500th post!🤯 When I started this account however many years ago, it was to share cute pictures of my kiddos and what was going on in our lives.

Never did I think that this is where those cute pictures would bring me! ☺️

From weddings, joyful moments, sad moments, growing families, graduations, engagements and all the important events of your lives, you have graciously invited me to play a small part in it.

When we moved west almost 3 years ago, it was a huge leap of faith. God had placed on hearts a call, or in this case, a push. We knew he had more planned for us. We knew he had healing and restoration promised for us.

But at the time, it was hard to trust. Everything was new. We didn’t know anyone!!

Time and perspective are tricky words. In my experience, they have been painful words but also words that hold blessings. We have been in #alberta now for almost three years, and looking back I would do it all over again!

We are continually grateful and continue to be stretched and I’m glad we leaned into the unknown and the hard!

My business has grown and it has been all thanks to this wonderful community out west!💗 I love hearing each story, spending time with you all, capturing so many joyful images!

So here’s to my 2500th post 🤗🎉🥂
