Deana’s Fun Headshot Session – Niagara Photographer

Back in August I was able to take some headshots of my cousin Deana.  I brought along an assistant for the evening, my other cousin, Meghan.  I must say it is awesome having an assistant!  Meghan helped me with achieving poses that I had pinned to Pinterest and I loved the outcome of these.   I wanted a fun and interesting location to headed to Marshville Heritage Place in Wainfleet and were able to use the old buildings as a back drop for our shoot.  If you’ve never been to the Marshville Heritage Festival on Labour Day weekend you definitely need to check it out!  I’d love to go back there again- there were so many spots to shoot!

Deana rocked her session and we had lots of fun with the wardrobe change halfway through the session!  My assistant again came in handy with helping with Deana’s boots 🙂  Deana, you are  beautiful person inside and out and it was a pleasure to photograph you!

Here are a few of my favourites from our session together.  If you are interested in a headshot session please contact me to talk further!

Can I share something with you?! Actually, I’ve shared it before but it’s worth sharing again. 😉

Growth after life altering events is possible! I can go on about how this applies in so many ways but I want to share how it was made possible in my photography business.

After moving half way across the country, I wasn’t sure if my business had a future. I had to find all new clients, I had to learn an entirely new landscape (hello wind and dry prairie grass!) and I had to build from the ground up.

I decided to do what I’ve always done, just share and to keep doing what I love- taking photos! ♥️

When I received my first wedding inquiry only weeks after living in Alberta- I was shocked (and incredibly humbled!) it gave me hope and joy to know that can make this work!

Fast forward two and a half years later, I’m so so incredibly grateful to the many of you who have allowed me to photograph some of the most important milestones of your lives! It is not lost on me how you all have helped me to continue to do what I love! 🙌

So here’s to all that is to come! If you are looking for a joy filled photographer who finds beauty in the everyday, that’s me!💗

Follow along to see where the journey takes me!🌱🌸
Okay sappy mom post below!👇

As I was compiling this reel it dawned on me that my daughter was the reason I got into photography in the first place. I’ve been been photographing her back for almost 17 years now 🤯

I’ve seen the world through her eyes!
I’ve learned about rocks, bugs, animals, fish, plants.
I’ve experienced wonder, joy and awe

And she taught me all that!

It’s not lost on me that she only has a little over a year left of high school, then who knows where the world where bring her.

It makes me just a wee bit weepy but also fills me with a whole lot of gratitude. I’m thankful that I now have all these memories locked away in my heart, but also in picture form.

So make the trip. Plan the outing. Make memories. Love.⭐️💗
