Pastor’s Spouse Retreat – Toronto Photographer

Every now and then I get to reminisce and look back on photos from days past.  I’ve ‘almost’ finished editing through 2014 photos (don’t ask me about 2012 or 13!) and was able to relieve this experience.  Every couple of years the denomination (CRCNA) that my husband is a part of, holds a Pastor Spouse retreat.  They recognize that ministry is a dual job.  It not only involves our husbands, but ministry widely affects the wives as well.  And so this event allows us the opportunity to rest, share, laugh and cry together.  There is something that is so amazing about being able to rest in the comfort of so many others who completely understand.

It also gives us the opportunity to reconnect and make new friendships.  One of the blessings about seminary life is that we were able to share so greatly in the lives of others.  But ministry brings us far and wide.  For example the picture of the 5 of us below, one lives in Alberta, two of us are located in Ontario and the other two are located in the US.  And so every two years is when we get to come back and visit with one another again.

Almost 3 years ago I was able to attend my first one in Miami which was a first time for me in Florida.  Last year it was held in Toronto and while its not the most tropical location we were treated to gorgeous weather while we were in the city.

I had a great time experiencing rest in the form of using photography to feed my soul.  You may recognize some of the sights in the post as we were able to do so much!  On one of the evenings we were able to eat dinner at the top of CN Tower at the 360 Restaurant.  We also went to El Catrin in the Distillery District in Toronto and it was amazing!  I am definitely looking forward to the next Pastor Spouse Retreat!

I’m late to this trend party but I still wanted to be a part of it!😂 So many of my sessions and weddings have taken me all over the place- all over the land, not quite the sea, but bodies of water count!🤗

It was fun looking through where I’ve all been this past year! I’m so looking forward to all the places and spaces, land and seas I get to explore this coming year!🥳

2025 was filled with so many adventures, weddings, sessions and new family memories!

From a trip to Georgia in February to visiting family in October, to having family down, trips to mountains, driving all over Alberta for sessions, it has been an incredible year!🎉

And 2026 is shaping up to be pretty awesome too! My goal this coming year is to really establish a good client care experience. I am so thankful for you all and I want to continue to build an experience that is joyful and memorable!

So long 2025, here’s to 2026!🎉🎉🎉
